Engine lathes.
 

I've been running them for 40 years now and this one is one of the best I've worked on. Korean lathe, Namseon Acra-Turn. Not the same as the Acra-turn made in China. I've had this one 15 years now and it makes holding tight tolerances childs play. Looking forward to the next 15 years.

Looks awesome. We have an old Hendley at the farm, story says it use to thread gun barrels for World War II. It's so wore out it's ridiculous, but it gets the non-precision jobs done that we need.

Even an old worn out lathe can be a lifesaver around the shop or farm. Every time I do a plumbing or sewer project I end up using the lathe to make something fit. I bought this one planning on it lasting me forever. It will still be a great machine when I cash in my chips. Been trying to upgrade the shop a bit so when I retire I don't have to buy any more machines, welder, etc.

As long as the ways and spindle bearings are good, these old machines
will hold tolerance's,

I have been on the hunt for a nice used lathe for over a year. It seems they are all by the ocean or Ohio. Thanks sharing Ron, Ill put that name on the good list.
