High Output Head vs Standard Output Head

Searched quite a bit on this without much luck. I’ve got a 2002 HO truck that I Ppumped several years ago and I’ve recently blown a head gasket.

I have a good SO head laying in the shop. I would like to have it worked over before I tear the truck down.

My question is are there any major differences between HO and SO heads?

I know the compression ratio differs between engines which gives them a different sound. I appreciate any input or opinions between the two.

I honestly think the difference is the piston not the head, as well as The pump. The heads should be all the same
