Fueling 467.7
I'm looking for some help on fueling for my recent setup in 97 eclb. I just rebuilt motor with non I/c pistons, cr tappets, oringed head, arp rod bolts and arp 625 studs, fleece coolant bypass, t4 steed with 44mm tial, 467.7/.83/.90, 5x14 sacs, .024 dvs and pump has just about everything I could do to it short of sending out(which I'm sure needs to be done). I've only put 200 miles on it so far but I'm very happy with the drive ability. Old setup was same fueling with a ed 63/68/14 and I'd take the 467.7 over old turbo any day of the week. It's hazy but still needs lots of tuning. Down low its great but I think there's more up top. What do you guys think keep tuning current setup or give it more fuel?still need to turn down regulator to open wastegate sooner as its opening around 55 right now which might be a bit much for the turbo. Any help would be great. Thanks

What stall are you running?
What timing are you running.
It's a reman triple disk from Phil not sure on stall probably near stock
24 degrees of timing, forgot to add it's a 180 pump
Every time mine acted like it stuffed up in the top end, adding timing made a big difference.
I was kind of worried when putting it together that I'd never spool the 467 so I went with 24 but I'll try 28 or so
Also is there any place I can buy a bunch of afc springs yet? I had a box of springs and plates years ago and can't find any now. I'm running afc live but I think I need to throw a heavy spring in and tune
With afc live/regulator you don't need a heavy spring,
Was going to pull afc live out and throw heavy spring in but if I can clean it up with afc I'll leave it in place
Stay with afc live, you can learn alot if you have the afc in your hand and have regulated air pressure to see exactly what it does, at say 20psi, 25, 30, so on.
That's all I know is adjusting afc with regulated air, I'll keep afc life in there and play with it though
I still have those bolts for you if you want them. I'll be working in town tomorrow for Latham.
Play with your afc and learn from it. Don’t go get a “afc fix it all live”. People need to learn how a afc works and apply what they learned.
I've adjusted many afc's with regulated air, I was asking where I could get some stronger springs because I can't find my stock pile of them
I ran 5x18s with that charger...no gate... 28 degrees.... the truck made 700 on fuel and 834 on spray.... it was probably the most fun truck I've owned.

Hey Mudn could you give me some more info on fuel setup you ran? That's exactly what I'm looking for power wise
28* is too much IMO. Anything over 24 for a street truck and you sacrifice way too much on the bottom for the minimal gains up top. Again, that is just my opinion. Our 2.5 truck made more power with 28* but we ran it at 24* on the track and it consistently had more usable power and it was easier on the pistons. We carried 4000 down the track with no issues at all.
