Dodge Cummins Diesel Hot Street & Strip
Part # PTC-592LS
ProTorque has the ultimate torque converter upgrade for Dodge Cummins Diesels. These engines produce so much torque that the factory torque converter stalls as high as 2500rpm, far above peak torque and very near governed rpm. Our torque converter will stall at approximately 1600-1900rpm, which is right in the peak torque range for this motor. This torque converter will increase fuel economy, reduce transmission temperature, increase low-end power and top-end acceleration.

I drove the truck before we pulled the trans.. The customer wanted a BD toque converter and valve body.. so that's what i sold him and that's what I installed.. When it was in the truck there was absolutely nothing wrong with it.. It didn't slip, it locked up nice and the valve body had some tweaking, so the converter always had a nice supply of fluid...

asking $500.. shoot me an offer...

for a 47rh? or re or is it the same?

Warpig 04-23-2010 10:21 PM

I ran a ProTorque for years. It is a good TC for someone running a single turbo as it is tight.

47RH, 47RE, or 48RE

wouldn't you want a looser converter for a larger single?

I really wouldn't know what to say on that one... Id bet that with the proper valve body it would hold about 900ftlb of torque reliably.. That's just based on what I've seen with single discs on the dyno.. They usually never hold over 1,000..

KILLER 'B' 08-24-2010 03:04 PM

yes still have the converter..

I honestly didn't even know that this was posted.. I would consider a trade such as this..

I think the 48re has something different. I don't think the 47re converter will fit a 48re trans. Could be wrong, bump for you if so.
