Hello from New Mexico

Hey everyone,

I have always been a fan of the diesel community and recently more interested in the competition stuff. I always appreciate the effort you all put into your trucks. Anyway I am outta New Mexico. I have an all stock 2019 Cummins 3500 Megacab Aisin. Shes got a name too, The Patriot Bus. Between me being veteran and proud of it and the fact this is my kid hauler it just fit.

Previous trucks were;

2012 Ford F350 (13,000 before the motor popped)

2014 Ford F250 (26,000 before the electrical was shot)

2014 Chevy 2500 tuned (70,000 before I saw the new body chevy)

2015.15 Chevy 2500 tuned, front end build, pulling tuck, CP3 conversion...still in the box:doh:(175,000 before the trans started to go)

2017 Ram 3500 Megacab shakin'wagon (lemon)

and now the Patriot Bus

Just here to learn, soak up some knowledge with the ambition of getting a toy to build in the future. Never really went beyond some entry level stuff but we will see. Plans with the bus is just cosmetic and keep it as she sits. Focus on the build truck in the future.

Reviving this thread but I have a question.

My 19 is straight piped and my wife hates the smell.

I am looking for ways on top of tune revisions to tame the scent.

Has anyone had success with this by adding in a cat of some sort?

Covid should take care of her smell for a couple weeks. This smell, is it in the cab or only when behind the truck?

When my WIFE is behind the truck lol

I enjoy it but we the know how the saying goes

Cab is only if the windows are cracked in stop and go or idling

Been married a while now, that balance is more important to me than CompD approval ratings/ranking haha

If it was a toy that’s one thing but it’s the family camper hauler, everyone gets some vote lol

Works good now though and she/kids approve WO it’s a win haha.

Dang, bad luck on the previous trucks. I wish you the best on this one. I'd say it's the best looking one from your history too and likely the most promising.

:welcome:

My plan with my current truck was to pretty much leave it alone and just drive it.

An engine swap, a bunch of sound deadening, stereo system... And I've still got a pile of parts waiting to go on in the shop.

Thanks for the welcome and Ain’t that the truth. Since posting the opening I have a Cp3 swap and some tuning but that’s about it.

Minus the cosmetics, airlift, snd tow POF mods we will see how long this stage lasts haha
