Revmax direct oiling billet input

So, leaving work Tuesday night, accelerating out onto the highway at about 80-90% throttle, trans make a solid "bang". RPM's spiked, and the truck lost all gears, forward and reverse. The only thing that works is "park", so I'm pretty sure the input shaft is busted.

Trans is a Revmax 550 68rfe.

So, I'm gonna swap in a billet Input shaft, and I'm wondering if the shaft Revmax makes with the direct oiling hole is worth the $200 more than every other billet shaft ? I understand the theory of helping keep the clutches oiled and cool, but it seems to me that having that hole bored thru the shaft would make it weaker than everyone else's solid shafts.

Opinions please.

I have used both...you may even have issues getting the normal TCS shaft at this time. My trans supplier was out of stock. So I ordered the revmax direct oil shaft and what do ya know...it comes in TCS box and the original feed hole was welded shut and the "direct" machined. Basically tells you why the normal shaft was out of stock. It was first one I used and think I will use them from now on as I like the idea.

May want to get it apart and see what all is tore up.

Yeah, got it drained and dropped the pan yesterday (hoping like hell it was just a dropped screw filter, no go) and everything looked pretty good. Got the driveshafts, exhaust, and cross member off last night before it got dark. Ordered the ATSG manual for it Tuesday night while I was waiting on the tow truck (lol) and it was supposed to show up yesterday... Now tracking number has it showing up on Tuesday. So, hopefully (between work, and the side jobs I've got right now) I can have this thing tore down for a good inspection by next weekend.

Here's how it looked. Fluid looks fresh. Minimal clutch material in pan. Very little on the magnet... Pretty good.
