Acert liner projection

I'm having trouble with an acert. Liner projection was .0055 to .006 before new liners and pistons from IPD. New liners are .001 oversized to handle heat with 16:1 compression ratio. My liner projection is now .0082 with only a liner change. Is this going to crack a liner flange?

You might want to measure again. Cat and IPD flanges are the same thickness. The “oversized” liners just have a .001 bigger bore. But if you do have .008 you can bet you will crack a flange.
