Pretty sure frames fine just pisses me off I've rebuilt everything mechanical on this truck and I was starting to save to do the paint and interior. Only 50k on the overhaul. I almost kind of hope they total it so I can buy it back and rebuild it in my spare time instead of always doing a little at a time as I drive it. Guy was real tough until I jumped out of the truck I'm 32 6'2" 250 this prick was in his 50's 5'6" 200 and walked with a limp! Even referred to my truck as a piece of **** on the radio. Yep sure wish I had a sweet t700 like he was driving :hehe:

Can anyone tell me why jake settings for the different horsepower ratings are different even when using the same model jakes?

Need to be more specific, on some it could be compression ratio, cam or turbo. I think mine is different on the C18 vs the C15 when the head/Jakes are the same. But the rest of the stuff is different. I just set them like the MXS and run it. Looser is stronger anyway.

Depends where you look too. Peterbilt's spec for my motor is pretty tight and it works about as well as rolling the window down. There's a PDF download from Jacobs and they show it quite a bit looser for mine than Pete. I use the Jacobs spec, it's more like rolling both windows downs.

Hit the back of the trailer square. No video and cops wouldn't come out to do a report. We're both with the same insurance company so it's going to come down to who they believe. But karma's a ***** better hope he never crosses my path again

The 350hp 6NZ is 18:1 so the 410 probably also is where the 435+ is 16:1.

Is it ok to post pictures of a baby big rig in here?
I don’t have a semi anymore, but run an F450 and gooseneck a fair bit.

Might put this in the band saw and see just how thin these pistons are. Never seen a cat Monotherm crack but pistons and valves are difficult for big red.

Apparently injectors are difficult too. A friend of mine has a n14 that's been acting a little funny, they ran injector tests and found 2 that were suspect. He bought a reman set from cummins and it made it 250 miles before #2 failed and washed the cylinder. He had a Cummins certified Pete shop do the tests and install so we'll see what cummins has to say about it.

Never buy Cummins injectors for an N14 or Cummins reman N14 ecm’s.

chevota84 02-24-2019 05:57 PM

Yeah, I figured as much. I tried to send him to oregon fuel injection or cody's guys but the shop he uses had these.
