1967 c10 duramax swap, question about water to air, clocking compressor

my 1967 C10 does not have much room up front for intercooler. I'm looking at some water to air units from frozenboost but not sure the CFM/HP range I need. I'm looking to do mostly stock LMM with a tune, I might do some bigger injectors later if mine end up needing replaced (271K miles) So room to grow on a water to air. There is a 12x12.25x4.5 with 3" in and out, claims 700CFM, 600HP. Anyone use on from there or have a recommendation?

I also needing to know if the compressor on the stock LMM turbo can be clocked to let the exit point straight up? I want to put the water to air on the passenger side and doing so would make plumbing a lot easier.

Thanks for any help anyone can give!

I've seen a guy do a Duramax in a C-10 with a stock GM intercooler up front that he cut down in height and welded a plate of aluminum on the top to close it off... Might be a lot easier to plumb that way. Look into what size air-to-air intercooler you can fit up front and see if one of the aftermarket companies has one in that size...

As for clocking the turbo outlet, might be possible, but won't you run out of hood clearance??? Would look odd for sure firing straight up. If you can clock it move it as far to the passenger side as you can.

At one point most of the 1000hp guys ran two of the air/water cores sized 10"x9"x4.5" from Frozenboost.com. I'd think a single core like that would work for your application. I used a On3 Performance 4x12x23.5" air/air at 800hp and temps were fine. It fit into an s10, so it may be small enough for your application.
