Looking for someone running nitrous...

Looking for someone running a Cummins with a nitrous rail with a nozzle in each cylinder similar to this...

Making a new product for people running or interested in running a setup like this and want to see what someone else that has set something up like this thinks about it and see if they have any ideas and what not. If you are helpful you could be rewarded with a heavy discount on it, or a hug.

Don't really want to put out there what it is until I get them done.

Very unequal distribution, especially the moment system is turned on. Might work with diesel but not gassers.

shortbusdriver 09-29-2014 06:15 PM

Your trying to tell me nitrous rails will not work on gassers?

biggy238 09-29-2014 08:17 PM

There are ways around everything....

Yes. Unequal length from solenoid to intake ports.

And who told you that?

Well with logic like that then most intakes, common rail systems, or any fuel system with some sort of rail will not work either. I learnted something new 2dayz.

Im going to get started contacting everyone that posted a picture and tell them what they are using wont work.

I haven't played much with the Nawz but seems to me folks have found better results spraying pre-charge air cooler.

Is it gonna work with stock style intake, or only gonna be available for individual runner?

Depends on your definition of better results. The mixture is more even obviously when sprayed pre Intercooler but the hit is smoother/softer.

Mark runs a similar setup (the houston street king diesel) max knows more about it though.

Legendarydslper 10-03-2014 12:13 AM

I have heard good things about spraying pre charge air cooler as well.

shortbusdriver 10-03-2014 01:41 AM

I don't care about what people "heard". I guess I cant stop people posting their opinions though.

I am simply looking for people running a rail with a port to each cylinder so I can get feedback on something I am making up.

commonrail fuel systems have solenoid on each port, that's a big difference.

Those rail type nitrous systems have burned many gas engines. People think it's just what nitrous does but the problem is crappy systems.

shortbusdriver 10-04-2014 12:58 PM

Well you said it wouldn't work on a gasser, now you say that it has "burned many gas engines." That leaves some that are still working even if it was the cause of the problem. So which is it?

Ever think maybe it was because they did not tune it correctly?

Signature600 10-04-2014 01:29 PM

If I may ask, what is your intended purpose with the individual nozzle/rail setup?

I can't see any huge problem other than the first nozzle will get spray sooner, but were talking about flow in a system under 1000psi pressure. The lag from one nozzle starting to spray to the next will be minimal.

Think of it this way. When the solenoid is off the rail and lines become empty of NOS. When the solenoid first turns on the NOS is going to get to the various cylinders in and uneven fashion until the longest path is filled with NOS. The causes a measurable unbalance in the cylinder by cylinder output of the engine. It is best to make a short rail and position it centered, then make all the hard lines the same length. This is just how a common rail fuel system works except that the solenoid is on each injector and they still see fit to make them this way!
