Second gen engine mount inserts

I am making up at least 5 sets of these mounts if anyone is interested. Should be around 200 dollar mark. They helped my truck a lot going from stock mounts. All that's needed for install is to freeze and press in. Please let me know.

Is this on a non-street truck? How much more noise/vibration do they transfer?

It's on my drag truck but to be honest it doesn't change anything to me and mine is a gutted truck

I'll take a set shoot me a pm when you get them ready!

pushlar84 07-27-2017 05:56 AM

I too will take a set

97rada 07-27-2017 12:24 PM

I will have At least one set made up next week. Need some time on the lathe. Anyone else?

I'm about to stick my engine back in the truck. Will this help keep the hot pipe from pulling out of the intercooler boot?

jasonc 07-27-2017 07:25 PM

I may try one, on the passenger side. If you have a blem or oddball single send me a price.

I ran this weekend at RTDC and the mounts did everything they should have. As long as your idle is where it should be you will never notice the mounts being solid. I don't at least. I will be starting these this week and shipping to those who already inquired about them.

Will you keep doing these in the future also or is it just for now?
I'm no way near ready for putting engine back but very curious about these. And would really like some feedback from more people who try these.

If there is interest I will keep making them. As of now I have ordered the material for 6 total sets. I have 3 people who for sure want them.

Are they made of steel or aluminum? And the solid mounts will transfer more vibration than the rubber bushings. I've got solid mounts on my Ranger but its for racing not a daily driver.

Excellent way to eek that engine back. Simple and effective.

Could you define "eek" for me please

jedeka 08-05-2017 08:01 AM

Put me down for a set, if I'm not on the list.

Let me use it in a sentence for you.

Hey, could you eek that forward just an RCH. lol

It must be hill slang, I couldn't find a definition that suited my use of the word.

Made perfect sense to me? An eek is like 1 to 11".

jasonc 08-05-2017 07:46 PM

And it looks like you could push the engine back about 1.5", on a 4×4 drag truck would that be a benefit?

jasonc 08-05-2017 08:00 PM

I just looked close at the pic, there already set back all the way.

I'm no expert on that question and would actually like to know myself. With two wheel drive it's a no brainer.
