Which ODSS race is best?

I am trying to plan for next season and have never been to a race on the East Coast, so I want to try and make at least one next year.

So for the guys that have been, if you could only go to one race in ODSS which one would it be?

They are all pretty good. Generally everyone has their $hit lined out by Scheid, so the racing is usually closer in the 2nd 1/2 of the season.

So I should come early to have a better chance? haha

Are these connected in anyway such as overall Outlaw winner or are they stand alone events with the same rules?

They are all ODSS points races.

One I've never been too but I may have to break down and go at least once next year. That whole 8 hour drive just makes me a cringe and I've spent most of my life as a commercial driver. LOL :bang:

Any of them are really nice. IMHO the least chance of rain is Rocky Top. Scheid is a good time if you can ignore the party crowd and it's 2-3 days of racing depending on the year. I also wouldn't trust my opinion very far as I missed all of them in person in 2018.

I love going to events vicariously as well.

The upside of SDX, is you can get all your pulling and racing done in the same venue.
The downside, 1000s of bros, doing bro things.

Do they let the bros come into the pits, or do they keep them in cages maybe?

No riding on "top" of a Can-Am 1000 bouncing across the empty gravel road at 9-10PM chasing the hobbit leader on his golf cart, while be chased by Paula Bart renta-grounds cop with her flashlight worried that Drew Pumphrey is gonna "drop the hammer" is the #SDXLyfe LOL :hehe:

Bahaha, we kinda ditched you guys that night, one Renta cop wasn't gonna stop 3 golf carts at once. Sorry sir, we didn't see you, what did we do wrong?

C'ya 11-03-2018 08:20 PM

Rudy's is always good if it doesn't rain. Rocky top is a really nice track, very unique setup but pretty cool.

You will enjoy any event, I see all races doing well next year and hopefully the Ohio race were hosting is a big hit, we have had as many as 1800 people at our dirt track drag racing event so I can't imagine we can't draw a crowd for our first ODSS event In 2019. We're excited about the opportunity!
