Streetable Compounds for 1000hp on a ppump

Recently got my ppump 24 valve all put together and back on the road, goal for next year is to hit the big 1k. Current setup is 215 pump (will be benched and maxed this winter/spring) at 24* timing, 6x13 injectors, and HE351 over 475 compounds. The truck put down 611/1161 a couple weeks ago and can only manage 12.2s at the track so it's time to go bigger. Want the truck to be street friendly but it won't be my daily, I'm ok with driving around the smoke but I don't want a lag monster. My plan as of now is a 64.5/73 in a .83 T4 housing on a gated steed manifold over an S483/96/1.32 T6 or Garrett. Looking for some input on my choice of turbos. Does anyone think I'll have drive pressure issues with that tight of a T4 housing and a properly sized external gate? Am I asking too much for an S300 to live at that level? Once I get a secondary chosen I'm planning to sell the compounds and run it as a single until I buy a primary and fab the piping. Any input is appreciated.

my opinion

-1000hp street friendly mechanical truck is nothing short of laughable. you can do it. But just because it can move down the street wont fix what a major PITA it will be.

- only 611hp currently? seems as if you are leaving a ton of HP on the table. you could easily find another 100hp or so with some tuning.

- to keep a secondary alive for any amount of time at 1000hp I personally would run a small S4 not an s3 frame.

- you mention very little about current fueling (injection pump) and where you plan on ending up? you need more injector for 1000hp

Interesting tid bit. We Had a local fella with a super clean 12 valve that he had spent more money on than any sane human would ever consider, to brake 1000hp and keep it on the road. and as beautiful as this truck was and as huge as his stack of receipts was that he waved at everyone, The truck only dynoed in the 900's and was broken every other week. he simply could not keep it together.

Bump, I'm open to ideas for a different setup. Trying to figure out what secondary to go with, I've been reading mixed reviews on the 73mm turbine.

I ran a Gt4094r as a secondary on my truck for several years. It was slightly above the 1k mark and was a daily driver. I could tow and drive in the hills without egt issues, but it takes patience, and cash.

Small S4. The S300 can live at that level but you are asking a lot out of it. We build a T4 S464 with an .80 housing from another application custom built for it. They spool quick but an external gate is a must with it.

What was the fuel setup and primary if you don't mind me asking? I have all the patience in the world, cash is another story.

I'd like to hear more about the S464 you guys build, that might be a good option for me. And an external gate is in the plans.

I will have a turbo setup for sale soon that's capable of exactly this. With a 4094r on the steed with a 484 out front if your interested. Had a gate on the manifold as well

how many threads have started on here saying ''I want a 1000hp daily driver''?

Maybe I should've titled this differently. I'm really just looking for some input on a set of turbos that will match up best with my plans for fueling. I have a 2nd vehicle so the truck won't be a daily but I want to be able to drive it to work on nice days without blacking out the road. Seems pretty reasonable to me.

I’m attempting the exact same thing. But I’m not trying it on a 12mm pump, don’t think it’s worth it. Your definition of streetable is looser than most so it can be done, with a lot of patience. I’m trying a 64.5/73/.83 with external gate fed by a 485. The numbers say it’ll work. We’ll see what reality has in store. If the S300 doesn’t like life I’ll be using a S465ish secondary. Custom Transmission programming and correct stalling will help a ton
FWIW ron Allen had a 6.7 ppump with a 71mm or so secondary and drove it on the streets, so technically that’s streetable lol

Thanks for the reply, I’m looking forward to hearing how that setup runs. I actually changed my goals a little bit. Found a cheap GTA4202/1.01 T4 and ran that for a bit, decided big singles are actually pretty fun and I was able to make it run very clean on the street with my afc setup. Compounds aren’t off the table but I’m gonna run this setup for a bit and see how I like it. I ended up picking up a 472 SX3 that Weston recommended and I’ll be going to a 13mm pump. May have to step up injector size but what I have now should get me close and run pretty clean.
