HE351/S475 compounds

6 Attachment(s)
For sale is an almost complete compound twin turbo kit for a Dodge Cummins. I built it myself, used on a 2nd gen 12 valve. It utilizes a Holset HE351 60/60/9 over a Borg Warner S475 75/83/1.10 A/R T6. Both turbos have been gone through about a year ago by Exile Turbo, and are in great shape. Wastegate is a 50mm Engineered Diesel gateplate. I'm selling because I want to upgrade to 63/80 twins.

What is included: HE351 turbo, S475 turbo, 50mm E.D. wastegate, hot pipe, down pipe, cold pipe, intercooler pipe, oil feed line and oil drain line for the primary turbo, and MOST of the clamps, bolts, and boots to hold it all together (probably lost a few small pieces in the shuffle).

What you will need to make it run on your vehicle: any missing miscellaneous parts, air filter, pressure hoses to control the wastegate. This will be a very simple installation on 2nd generation 12 and 24 valve manual transmission pickups, slightly more difficult on automatic transmission pickups because of the transmission oil cooler. I think it could be easily adapted to 1st generation Dodge pickups, and possibly 3rd generation Dodge pickups as well.

Disclaimer: I do not hold any liability or responsibility for damage to engine, drivetrain, or vehicle from using these turbos. Sold as is, no warranty, repair, or replacement of broken parts. I do not guarantee any change in vehicle performance. Asking $1,900

For now, I would like to keep it all together. If there is no interest as a kit in a week, I will separate. Everything on this needs all the other parts to work together, it's all custom built.

Understandable. I'd take the hot pipe too if I knew it would fit my setup. What primary mount are you using?

Man that's a screaming deal

If u decide to split up I would be interestd in the cold piping and oil lines and down pipe

This would be a very fast spooling and fun setup!

loganp 12-19-2012 09:54 AM

It was a very fun setup, I just need more air. Started spooling at 1600, was fully lit by 2000, and pulled hard to 3500. Maxed out at 72psi of boost, has seen 1500* on the strip for a few seconds but never saw more than 1200* sustained. Always cooled to 350* before shut down. Made track times that equivalated to 625hp.

I've seen a few pics of them measured with digital calipers and I thought the turbine exducer was near 58-59mm...

Anyway, I have a somewhat similar setup and it's great on the street, the e-gate and smaller A/R S475 should make this setup a street killer! Whoever buys this will really enjoy it!

What size injectors were you running?

Nope had 3 351's and 2 341's apart and all had the same 58mm turbine.
