Suction-side vs. Pressure-side fuel-filter spin-ons?

I have a filter head; one spin-on filter/ water separator I have for it (Racor/ Parker S3201T) says "For Suction-Side Applications".

I can get a Wix, Baldwin or Napa cross-referenced replacement for the filter element, and none of those folks bother to write "Suction-Side Only" on their elements.

Does anybody know what's up?

I'm thinking that the most likely explanations are,
A. This filter was only spec'd for suction-side OEM applications, and therefore most manufacturers don't bother to specify that they are only for suction side applications.
B. Racor built their filter special (cheap?) and while their's is not good for pressure-side applications, the others' are.

Is there that much of a difference between suction and pressure side spin-ons? Will it screw up the water separator functionality? I plan to put less than 20 PSI through it.

Well, according to the dealer I called who called the distributor who called the factory who called the engineer, the S3201T at least is good for "up to 15 PSI" on the pressure side.

Likely depends on just how the element is built internally, just go to your local Baldwin dealer and ask for a 5 micron filter and be done with it. Most spin on filter heads are interchangeable from a thread and sealing standpoint.
