allison 2100rds
Can anyone tell me any info on an Allison 2100rds. Got a chance to pick up a good core. Thanks!

What kind of info?
Main case should be the same as a 1000 series, the tail housing and bell housing are set up for MD use. Would be good to buy if you needed the guts out of it. |
Mainly wanting to see if it could be used in a light duty truck application like bolting up to a 12v with the right housings
|
Anything is possible, just have to change parts on both ends of the case.
2wd or 4wd? If it's cheap, buy it up. You can always part it out, I'd be interested in a few items from it. |
All I know now is that its a good core. Ill have more info tonight. Its getting shipped to me tomorrow.
Are they the same as the 1000 internally or are they a little more stought? |
I'm not 100% but clutch count should be the same, usually the gear ratios are a tad different on the MD gear sets. Should be the same as a 1000 physically

thanks for the info!

Mostly the main case, I could use one for setting clearances. And an input drum.
What year is the transmission? |

Got main case, input drum assembly, valve, bell housing, tail housing, deep pan, pump, stator. im about to make a post so I was going to give you first crack at it |
Yea, but shipping is probably going to kill it for the main case.
I'll be out in Columbus on memorial day weekend if you'd like to meet up, might pick up the input drum too. |
Actually that might not be feasible for you, I was thinking of North Vernon and figured you'd be pretty close.
