797 rwhp uncorrected, 4th gear, #2 only.

On stock injectors and a big single. Drove to and from the dyno in the rain, 19mpg. Fully streetable.

Power carried out to 4400 rpm and we shut it off. Never did make full boost.

Charger is a PPE GT42 Magnum single. PPE Dual Fuelers. EFILive tuning.

Engine by SoCal Diesel, BMS and my right hand man Robert.

Perhaps it's time to finally go to bigger sticks. Or should I keep pushing? :D
Way to go Pat Awsome #'s :rockwoot:! To answer the injector question yes you should use bigger sticks. If you had bigger sticks you could use less tuning and get more power. Personally I would like to rely on my mechanical power(Fuel Pumps,Turbo,CNC Machining etc) more instead of electronic power! I think tuning should be tuning not a main source of power. Power is far more reliable mechanically I think. I had Don M. put a set of 55% over injectors in my motor. Don assured me with proper air modification these sticks were good for 1000RwHp. In 2 weeks I will definatley share my Dyno #'s with you and the board! Good Luck at Famoso!

Neither Don M injectors, headers, or existing Dmax twins are on my shopping list anymore.

They won't take my money in exchange for a delivery date.

Other folk can buy these things, but I cannot. So I just work around it.

Right on. I'm sure you got somthing better already in the mix. I was just answering the question you said in your post. If you want to PM me I know how to get those injectors takes 7 business days. Again I think that's a huge # way to go glad to see the truck running like that.

Depends.

If you are the hapless soul that said you could never go over 400 hp in a LLY with factory sticks?

No. It's bad. It's very bad.

:D

If you are a Twin guy who swears you can't get a big single to make power or be streetable?

No. It's bad. Bad indeed.

:D

If you are an LLY Duramax Owner?

Why yes. Yes it is good! :rockwoot:

Typical dyno day. Nothing went right, but in the end, finally got her to rock.

Any Cummins or Fords up to 800 on stock injectors?
With or without drugs?

:shake:

:cheer:

:tree:

:woohoo:

:ft:

Pat we might be able to squeeze some good power out of our stockers, we really wont know till we get somethin like EFI Live to "custom tune" with.
Witch we might not ever get somethin like that, but i hope we do!:Cheer:
Anyway great work and congrats on the #s!!

Kinda sucks that Van Aaken took a dive. I was hoping that would be an answer.

Nice numbers Pat!!

Any idea on how that turbo would run on a single cp3? Either stock or modded?

Man i was really wantin to play around with that thing, i did hear through the grape vine that there "might be" somebody else workin on somethin for us!
And i think a few of the C5 beta testers have the tuning leads and software and are workin on gettin it to work.
So maybe we will see custom tuning for the CR Cummins.
I know if we do id like to have some of u EFI Live tuners get a look at it and give some advice!

With a "small" shot of fuel, (about 2/3rd's of KILL) it made 650rwhp and was very pleasant to drive. So it would work with a single CP3 I would think.

Can't speak for Cummins's, but I don't think any Ford's can even come close to that on stock sticks. The 6.0 peaks around 480RWHP, and that is using nitrous to get it all burnt.

I'm not familiar with the fuel system and injectors on your truck; I assume if you leave the sticks stock, you are running longer pulse width and maybe higher pressure or both?

In any case, great numbers.

VA is still on the map. Monday will maybe bring new news.....

The announcement that Premier Performance put out was pre-mature, and is proof that you can't believe everything you hear or read.

From what I've read over the years as to the Cummins CR injectors, that they holes are small enough that if you where to force more then 600hp worth though them, you'd be risking cracking tips and bodies since you just can't get that much fuel though. Hence a requirement for injectors upgrades when you get a second CP3

I could be totally off base here but this is possibly an emissions thing. the smaller the holes the better the atomizations, the better burn, the better emissions. However, it works against ya for power. Explains why since 04.5 to 07 that all the 5.9 had for emissions equipment was a 3rd injection event and a cat, while the fords and chubbies had EGR's, cats, and VG turbo's to maintain emissions.

Something I've never bothered to lookup, but how close are stock Dmax injectors to stock cummins? the CP3's are not the same, close. the Dmax one flows more in stock form. If the injectors are the same for the most part, well, naturally the Dmax will make more power with stockers, there are 2 more injectors worth of flow. that's good for 25% more fuel (It's been a few beers, but I think I did my math right)

If a CR maxes out at 600hp with stock injectors and a slightly modded cp3. and your at 800.... that adds up. :)

So, you have the equivalent of a CR with a smarty and tst and a big enough huffer to burn the fuel. Congrats, it's kinda been done before. :)

Tho, I like the RPM's. That's freaking cool to spin close to 4500. That's the only thing the P-pumps have left, lots of RPM's. :)
