1998 12 valve 2500 Q/C longbed 4wd 5 speed

Mark Nixon

No Savior among the flesh
1998 12 valve 2500 Q/C longbed 4wd 5 speed.
Has right at 300,000 miles on it, the body is totally rust free, interior is decent, but the dash top is destroyed, like they are in Texas trucks this age.
It has decent 1999 seats in it now.
The bottom of the body has been re-shot in black, but it was formerly silver and it is NOT hiding rust or damage.
There is an aftermarket front bumper that looks very similar to a Ranchhand, mounted to the front and an OEM one on the back.
Tires have fair tread, but have some weather cracking, so they are good for a short time, but may not be ideal for a long drive.

Right now it has a 2 wheel drive NV4500 that has lost the nut.
I didn't get the t-case or the old transmission, but I do have an NV5600 and an NP241 or an NV271 that's available.
The power steering pump either needs replaced, or the screen may be plugged, as it does seem to work, but at a minimal effectiveness.
This a base model, GREEN truck, with NO Cruise, NO Tilt, NO Overhead and it has a rubber carpet.

Asking $7500, Or Make Offer as it sits.
If I put the 6 speed, t-case and shafts in it, it's $10,500 FIRM.

Thinking on it some, I could deliver this the way I went and picked it up and it'd be cheap delivery.
It runs and drives fine, just can only run ~ 60-65 mph.

Mark.

If I put this together, I'm going to beat the crap out of it, hauling iron with it.
Better in your driveway than in mine.

Not very many rust free ones like this left, much less a 1998, 4 wheel drive, 12 valve, 5 speed and a quad cab!
And it's GREEN to boot! LOL

Make me a SANE* offer.
I'll even consider TRADES**!!!

*aka; A white man's offer, non-insulting, non frugal, a realistic price based on value, not based on the lack of funds in your wallet.

**I am NOT interested in pocket lint, debris from your sink's water trap, old rusty Pintos, non-operational lawnmowers ( a working one, with ZTR and a nice-sized deck would hurt me seriously), ex-girlfriends, or dead animals.
Things that go bang (not ex-gfs, mind you!), also appeal to me.

So does handyman work and carpentry skills.

If by "boats", you mean "Land Yachts", like below, I SURE DO!

I'm surprised there is little actual interest in a 98 12 valve 5 speed 4wd truck!
I remember people going ape to try to acquire one of these.

Mark.

If I can't sell it, I'll be looking for a 1994-2002 C&C 3500 2wd front axle and a flatbed for a dually.
I'll make a 2wd straight axled 1 ton dually out of it. :evil

Mark.

Bump.
Maybe it's the color?
I can rattle can it black, or brown, or grey suede at no charge!

Got the NV5600 6 speed and NV271 out of the junker and laying in the bed of this truck.
$7500 with transmission, t-case and driveshaft parts.

Alternatively, I have a guy that'll finish it up, with the NV5600/NV271 combo, with a new clutch and driveshafts fitted.
If that happens, I'll take $10,500 DELIVERED.

Otherwise, I may convert it to a dually with a flatbed, and start using it to haul iron.

Mark.

I'll split it all up.

$5,000 for the truck as it sits.
$3500 for NV5600 4x4 transmission, NV271 T-case and driveshafts (all from a 2003).

Otherwise, I'll kill the whole project and part it out.
IT WON'T BE CHEAP.

Quad Cab, 4wd, 12 valve manual! Green and Clean!
Not an especially easy combo to find!

Deal on the table, that's good for the rest of this week:
Truck with the NV5600 transmission, t-case and what driveshafts I have, $6000.
You pick up.

There really is no reason a nice, clean, 1998 quad cab, 12 valve, manual trans., 4wd should be sitting, or parted out.
No reason at all. :)

So far away and two elephants for a quarter is only a good deal if you need two elephants and you have a quarter haha.

I don’t need two elephants at the moment and my quarter is spoken for unfortunately.
