Injector Database

Unfortunately, my last thread was lost to a database error. So, lets try this again.

I want to compile a database of Injectors so that folks can have a guide. this can help if somebody wants to know how big is too big, etc. Post year/model of truck (ex: 01ETC) Injector and power rating (ex: RV275-40 HP) Turbo (stock, b-1 etc) Smoke (amount) and Heat issues, if any (ex: pegs pyro quick, Max on 5x5 1350, etc.) And any impressions you have about them

If we can, lets do it in this format:
01ETC
RV275-40HP
Stock (HX35)
Small amount down low, very manageble
No heat issues
Good injector for small power increase and towing

24v specific- If it works well we will do it in the 12v and 3rd gen forums

Ok I'll kick it off and just revise it as others post.

01 Dodge
Auto trans
HTB2 62/12
Drag Comp
Edge Stage 4 nozzels, (125hp)

Smoke rateing 1-10
off the line normal accell 4
Heavy accell 10+ can you say freight train?
Freeway crusing 1700+ RPM 1-3 can smoke out the freeway at anything under 60 mph if it diesnt down shift.

Heat:
Not good. Freeway running 8-1100 deg
Towing, 1300 easy on flat ground
Heavy accell it will hit 1600 by 80mph.

Need either a 64/14 or twins.

01 HO w/6spd
DD III's - 90-100HP

Stock Turbo (hx 40)

Clouds up every intersection with every shift, if I drive with an egg under the pedal it's not bad though.

Running 1x3 it'll run 8-900 on the freeway, towing, around 1000, maybe 1100+ on hills. On anything over 2x5 once the pedal is maxed out, so is the pyro

Good daily driver/tow rig injector if you are careful

01 5spd
Extrude Hones
Made 185 HP on the dyno
HT 64/14
without comp drag smokes decent
on 3x3 moderate +
on 5x5 creates an eclipse until spool up

Best injector I have personally run so far.

17-1800 or so, but I don't have the rolling resistance you do (taller, wider tire).

I'll be taking care of that right away here also thinking of going to either the 64 or the 66 from HTT.

See that right there.. I need bigger sticks and compounds.

If i leave the box on 1*1 there is little to no smoke if i am easy on the throttle. If it's on 5*5 you can not see the lanes behind you. I was hitting 1500 easy before my clutch started slip.

99 5spd
130hp injectors
Comp (non drag)
FASS
HTB2 62/14
Dynoed at 545hp and 1100+ft lbs

Controlable smoke. EGTs controled by foot when towing in hills.
Runs great now that it has a dual disk.

01.5 six speed, 35's, 3.55
1)bd 90+ hp, power puck = smoke 3 and ~1300
2)above +TST PM3 = smoke 4 and 1600+
1 and 2 are with stock turbo
3)275's and smarty = smoke/ normal accel 0, hard 10 and ~1100
4)about + TST PM3 comp = smoke normal 2 hard 10 and ~1400
5)230hp and smarty = smoke normal 0 hard 10 and ~1200
6) above + TST PM3 comp = smoke 4 & 10 and 1600+
3-6 are with 35/3b twins
7)230hp and smarty = smoke normal 4 hard 10 and ~1000
8)above + TST PM3 comp = smoke normal 6 hard 10 and ~1350
7 & 8 are with 40/3b twins. This combo take longer to spool and cause's more smoke on take off, but pulls way hard on the top end. The 35/3b setup is what I normally have on. It's much more fun to drive as it spools instantly. Both combos smoke bad on hard accel but clear up to 0 once the turbos are going.

i am looking for a set of injectors and i was wondering what the differents between geting injector nozzles or geting just injectors was i was looking at the edge injectors

http://www.edgeproducts.com/categories.php?p_cat=12&cname=Injectors

Up to about a stage 3 or 4 (90-100HP) the fuel gallery in the stock injector is big enough to handle the increased flow, hence a set of nozzles are about all you need. Once you get above a stage 4 or so you need increased fuel in the injector's fuel gallery and will need a complete replacement set.

Having (hopefully) explained that, up to a certain point all you really need to do is swap out injector nozzles. Once you get past that you have to have work done on nozzle and on the body of the injector as well.

How much hp did you run with that setup?
