Napa has Line crimp plyers they wont damage the line. crimp it close to the sump install your ball valve after it. then you could use your ball valve to drain

How about other sump producing vendors not post their stuff in another vendors paid forum...cool? Thought so....

Just so happens the new house is on a hille and the second half of the drive way is steep enough that my parking brake no longer is of any use, nor is the compression in my 01 golf in 1st gear.
Park sideways.

This is what I used when I had to disconnect my airdog last. Works great. Just a little spill from where you crimped to the end of the line. Heck, even the flat style welding vise grips. Used those before too. In a pinch.

Thanks everyone, I think I'll crimp things off, but just in case, I'll run it down to as little fuel as possible.

Mount the valve the other way, and remove the handle. I imagine I would remove the handle and keep it in the truck anyway.

You know that both you and I would lose that ****ing handle and be looking for a pair of Channelocks to close it! BTW- Adam called you a dildo!

^ What's wrong with a short nipple?

Can't get our teeth on them very easy. :hehe:

Cool ideas. I guess you could use a short piece of hose to get your ball valve tucked into the frame if you don't want it hangin' down.
