Okay I need help..
We have a 99 ford with a 12 valve installed
we have a ZF5 transmission. (87-94 diesel application)
The clutch pedal is from the same era 87-94
Southbend clutch

We need a clutch master cylinder and or a slave cylinder.
We've made one from two different applications because of the difference between master and slave attachment ends. We just can't get this clutch to release. We have made it release manually with a ratchet strap to test the clutch and it does work. We've tried adding travel. It seems that we just need a stronger slave cylinder. ?!?!?!

Must be a big leverage difference in the attachment yall had to modify?

What does the peddle feel like?

Pedal feels okay. Its like it will almost release. We built an adjustable link in the slave. I think we need a slave to cylinder with more ass.

My truck is slightly different, but I used the 95 factory master cylinder and attached the zf6 slave cylinder to it and it works fine. I would just use the obs setup is possible. You may be able to do the reverse and use the 99 master with the zf5 slave as long as the 99 master has as much stroke as an obs master.

Are you sure the stroke isn't the issue?
I'm betting you need to shim the flywheel toward the throw out.

It's finished. Replaced the slave and master cylinder and cut the firewall to accommodate the master cylinder. Works good now.
