Okay so i think my sensor is bad my check engine light is on as soon as i start my truck. It throws the code saying the fuel is too hot and i guess that means the sensor is bad since i t is on when i cold start the truck. My problem is i can not find one at any parts stores. Does anyone have a part number that i can use to get one or order one. Or is this part something that has to be bought from the dealership. Thanks!

So we changed the fuel temp sensor, and still causing problems. With the computer hooked up the code is thrown saying the fuel is 300 degrees, and we go under the truck and felt every fuel return line and it was under 100 degrees. Now we need to track down the rubbed through or melted wire.

What does the scanner read if you unplug the sensor? Should read -30*

If you have a programmer that goes in between the bulk head connectors on the driver side of the engine check to see if any of the terminals have backed out. AND do a terminal drag test. I see those things cause all kinds of issues spreading terminals out. Fuel temp will be the brown wire in the bigger connector in terminal location D2.

I was searching wires for awhile and took a break. Ended up talking to a buddy while leaning on my fender and randomly looked at the top of a bale connector. Luckly i spotted a bare wire and covered it up. Problem sloved i never would have found it if i were looking for it.
