John Deere 310g backhoe

I have got a John Deere 310g backhoe at work that has 5k hrs on it and is running a little low on power for digging. It has a 4 cyl stanadyne pump on it but I'm not sure of the model number though. Is there any way to turn it back up to stock power? I've seen on some of the older pumps they have an access plate on the side of the pump where from what I understand is where the fuel screw would be but this pump was never machined out unless it's on the engine side of the pump.

Thanks, John.Click the image to open in full size.
