Cummins hitting 5000 RPMs - FULLY FUELED

StarLite Diesel

EFILive Cummins Tester
Hello all

We made some history. Ross will be posting some charts later showing this.

This is on a built motor modified 5.9 common rail Cummins, tuned with EFILive - yes, that means factory ECM. Ross has pulled off what we were told isn't possible.

The proof is in the pudding :)

Take a look at this video taken just today....

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Y6PnaNLyeY"]First Common Rail tuned by EFILive with full Fuel to 5000+ RPMs[/ame]

I think we've been making history for the past several months, however this effort by Ross to help us achieve full fueling up to 5000+ RPMs is a victory in all senses....

Thanks for watching! Ready to try it on your truck?? :evil

The only way my truck would hit 5000 is if I put a doubler on the gauge. LOL

Nice work. I hope she holds together.

Manual trans?......... no RPM hang over 3000rpm?..........

hmmmm

Send me that ECU and wire harness so I can validate your findings.

Awesome!!

But...I thought Fleece was the first to 5,000+ RPM??

Or did they have mm3 drop off as RPM reached outer orbit?

Also, maybe a better quality camera:D. At the end it literally sounds like the exhaust is exiting into a vat of pudding and bubbling up through itLOL.

Again, this is impressive stuff!!:woohoo:. Regarding Starlites work as well as everyone elses.

Fleece did hit 5300 RPM, but while RPM was gaining at the upper end, fueling and power were being pulled.

High RPM's are only good if you are still gaining power.....which is what we have achieved with Zach and Derek on this run.

Cheers

Thanks for the clarification Cindy!! Thats what I was trying to figure out.

NICE! Must have been some CEL's to get around.....seems to me it was around 4700 it would pop a crank sensor code and over 5500-6000 another code. Always new the stock ECM's could do it.

I never new when I got efi live id be the with the truck it get us yo 5000 with fuelits been fun thanks to starlite diesel and ross at efi live :woohoo:

Maybe that is why 6k is an option on the latest Smarty SW. Congrats to efi live....but don't even try to bash Smarty on this one.
