Revmax direct oiling billet input

So, leaving work Tuesday night, accelerating out onto the highway at about 80-90% throttle, trans make a solid "bang". RPM's spiked, and the truck lost all gears, forward and reverse. The only thing that works is "park", so I'm pretty sure the input shaft is busted.

Trans is a Revmax 550 68rfe.

So, I'm gonna swap in a billet Input shaft, and I'm wondering if the shaft Revmax makes with the direct oiling hole is worth the $200 more than every other billet shaft ? I understand the theory of helping keep the clutches oiled and cool, but it seems to me that having that hole bored thru the shaft would make it weaker than everyone else's solid shafts.

Opinions please.
