Common Sense

PPL 4.1 had 7 points hooks in the silver series and ppl super farm had 15 point pulls on the championsame tour......... just saying

That has to do with pulling locations vs tractor locations more than anything. PPL has more 4.1 hooks than superfarm hooks on their schedule. They arent going to make 20-30 4.1 tractors drive 10hr+ weekly for champions tour hooks.

And to all the people that say smooth bore is the best and only option. Why does ppl super farm still run mwe covers and why did ntpa just go back to mwe covers from smooth bore?

How are they restricting power? .......Turbine (frame size) limits

Because they dont like getting beat by smoothbore 466ci tractors.

Good news for me.... Talked to Larry Richwhine today, NTPA isn't changing a single rule concerning 3.0 Prostck Diesel Pickups for 2016!!!

Still DOT tires and 3.0" Turbo with .250" MWE groove

I've heard that before, But the scuttlebutt is PPL is going to Allow the MWE this year and Whatever smooth Bore is decided, NTPA will just adjust in 2017.

Also If PPL keeps moving North , I assume they will ,They will drag More owners with them Form the North. I'm all for More Pulling....

How many trucks run ntpa 3.0? How many organizations? I'm glad somebody jumping off the ppl bandwagon.

Matt, did he happen to mention any changes for the 2.6 Prostck class in MN?

lots of Support For NTPA BananaMax, One Bad Max, Boost, Smokin Black Ram, Radioactive, Six Shooter, Thicker then Blood, Khaos, Public Enemy, Cummin Hard, Mayhem. Farmers Nightmare, Bad Company, Durty Deere, Money Shot, Obsessed, Relentless, all pulled at least once in Region III or V.

Cummins Killer, 1 Bad Ram, White lighting, Pulled in 2013-14

Thats good to know. Question is. Who will have setups for both ppl and ntpa. I know a lot of those guys jump in to ppl pulls when they come around.

He said rulebook for 2016 would match 2015 rulebook as far as diesel goes...so I assume they won't mess with that 2.6 thing either, until it takes off, or someone ****s or gets off the pot...

There isn't enough "consistent" trucks in NTPA 3.0, and changing the rules isn't going to "bring anymore trucks in from other places." None of the guys that chase PPL hook with NTPA, so there is no reason for them to follow PPL rules...

Sounds like PPL is going to 3.0" smooth bore, full ODL... And 3.8" smooth bore with cut tires, that'll be a 2000hp Hart's charger.

We can buy a 3.0 smooth bore Turbo, and run the 12 or so Midwest series PPL hooks for points chase. And then bolt the Turbo we already have one and run with NTPA for 8 hooks... And even buy a 3.8" wheel and cover and go chase 5-6 big PPL events like TS, Hillsboro, and Scheid with cut tires if we so desire...I'm always in for more closer hooks...

Is the new 3.0 (2.6 odl) going to allow gutted bodies, only bedsides and tilt bodies? If not there goes the chances of 99% of any 3.0 guys bumping down

Wondering the same thing. I feel like that's something that needs to be address instead of being forgot about or us 2.6 guys are still going to have full bodies since that's the rule and all the 3.0 guys that want to drop down will just show up gutted and be allowed to run anyways. I'm not against allowing gutted trucks so you guys can drop down, just needs to be clarified in this rule change so we know what we re allowed to do this winter. Not at the first big events tech..

Like letting an over length wheel based truck pull, even when a rule was added to prevent it?!?! No professional organization (like PPL) would possibly let a competitor do that, lol!

But yes, I agree...they need to clarify, only reason I would drop back is because the Midwest Series is much, much closer for me in Iowa...no way could I ever chase 3.0/3.8 Silver Series across the US...

And honestly, if they go full ODL, why wouldn't they just let gutted bodies in??? Who would want to crawl UNDER a truck to change quick change gears, that would be ignorant not to allow gutted stuff.

Either way, I now have a '58 Apache body...so I will keep floor and firewall in it, if needed... And I'm pretty sure more than 1 or 2 "2.6 trucks" have gutted beds already.

My point was some NTPA trucks may swing to PPL or PPL Swing to NTPA, it goona really PITR BC If NTPA guys swings to PPL for the Big events and the trucks are contenders and win their go's the Points for the Trucks that Support PPL, You could simply destroy the Points with a contender for Both leagues.

I'm going to try it get My own (Sponsored) event also With PPL, the money not the Problem just to get that out of the way, Were would We have it I like Rockwell IA, Maybe Tomah WI, Marshfield WI, MN is just to far to drag trucks form the east until the event grows ? , Rockwell is nice but is it enough sounding support. I'm not looking to expand TC Diesel, I like TC Diesel just the way it is nice and small, I sold All My store Front and service garages ,My agreement with the buyer would be violated and I'm sure they would Sue.
