Edge CTS instead of instrument cluster

The truck is a 2007 RCLB, 5.9, auto. Full manual vb, and efi live.

I'm trying to figure out if it's possible to completely remove the instrument cluster and only run an Edge CTS to monitor the vitals. So far, I've noticed that all of the exterior lights (headlights, taillights, etc) stay on and are not controllable by the headlight switch when the cluster is unplugged. It also seems that the cluster has some control over power locks, as they do not work when it is unplugged (don't care about the power locks as they are being removed anyway). Are there any other functions that would prevent me from being able to remove the cluster?
If I had to, I could leave the oem cluster plugged in and tucked away, but I'd rather not.

As of right now, the truck runs with only the ignition, skim, accel pedal, and brake light switch plugged in.

This is where I'm at with it right now...
