One piece drive shaft ???

What are you guys opinions on doing a one piece rear shaft? It would be on an 03 4-door long bed. Its lifted 6 inches and i'm having problems with eating carrier bearings.

I know axle wrap is contributing to the problem, but have been told by a few people a one piece rear would be the way to go? What do you guys think? Its my DD truck. Would be used to haul my pulling truck and play on the streets.

Also what are your opinions on ladder/traction bars for the 3rd gens? What sets are best to stop axle wrap? And are there any good sets that aren't $900 ?? All the ones I seem to find are $8-900. Just seems a little expensive to me?
