P-Pump 24v Idle Surge

I never had trouble towing with a 64/71/.8 secondary or GT4094 with 91 or 94mm primary. The 66/71 was sluggish on the bottom and hotter. More bottom end smoke as well. I think people go a bit too big on the secondary compared to the power level they are at. It's a dance, and the right partner is important.
 
Well if anyone is interested I think I may have ironed out the issue a little. Set timing to 24 degrees and installed stock feed tubes. The engine still lopes some when cold, but after the engine and transmission warm up it hardly lopes at all. It might lope a few times when its dropped into gear or when you stop at a light, but then it smoothes out. I bet with a little looser torque converter the problem would go away completely.
