Egt probe as trigger for w/m

Can I use a signal amplifier on an egt probe to fire a wm set up? The amplifiers I found use a straight 0-5 volt analog signal.
I'm looking at a cooling mist progressive controller. It says it has a maf range from 200-11000 hertz. Ideally I want a dual stage set up, shot at 5 psi or something for cruising and a second shot when I hit 1000*f
I know banks and snow make a kit exactly like this but I'd rather cobble something together myself.

It has been a few years, but iirc BBD ran something similar to trigger the second stage of their water injection setup.

I know the banks and snow tow max are capable of triggering off egts, but I was wondering just making a simple set up with a pressure switch to trigger at a certain boost and egt probe signal amlofier to fire a second stage. Or if its possible to use the cooling mist controller with the ege signal amlifier.

I'm 99% possible you can use that cooling must controller and make your own setup. Iirc there's a few guys on DD that put there own little kit together using that cooling mist controller and they work quite well.

devil's own has a map sensor (pressure) included with its kits, and an can progressivly inject more based on boost.

I shot cooling mist a email about it a while back. I just called them and asked and I was told the controller only runs off of boost

So now my question is how can I use the 0-5 volt signal from the amplifier to trigger a relay

Ok found what I was looking for

You can set an alarm on it to go off at a specific point. So instead of going to a buzzer or light I can use to to switch a relay to turn the pump on. The relay contact is rated at 1 amp @ 30vdc so I'd imagine it'd work for what I want.
And it still has the 0-5v analog output so when I learn more about electronics I could possible make a variable controller to the pump.

Look for the pdf for coolingmist's cmgs 1.07. IF I remember correctly, it will take in two signals, divide between them, and can also signal a second solenoid. I have one that I used a few years ago, and I know the second part is right, but I don't have the pdf in front of me. It has a boost port with built in MAP sensor, use that for your boost signal, and then the 0-5v signal for the EGT.

Don't use EGT as the only indicator for the spray, your EGTs will not directly equal your need for water meth. You can use it as a second trigger, but would not be safe for a first trigger.

Your right it does say the controller can use a 0-5 volt signal on the PDF. I wonder why they said it couldn't use a signal from an amplifier when I called them? Maybe I wasn't clear on what i was trying to convey.
I want a dual stage, one that comes on with boost reference and a second that's triggered by egt's when I'm towing up a grade or what not

Then you want what i have. The 1.07 and current 1.1X are different in many ways. I found the 1.07 used because it had what the 1.1X stuff didn't. It has a dual stage, it takes two inputs, and can output flow with the extra flow sensor. Look through the pdf in depth (there's a lot to it), and decide if it is what you want. I will warn you that operating the second stage will flash the LEDs. the flow bar won't but the LED won't display info when the second stage is activated. The second stage is a workaround for a failsafe.

i used this with a relay for my Meth set up. i can adjust the set point as needed, but its an on/off, but thats fine for my purpose.
