We don't put that much ice in either, so I guess we will have to make sure we always weigh with our ice on the truck. That way we will still be 8k. Not that 20lbs is going to be the deciding factor at 8k anyway.

I think some of this rule came from folks who would put on 40lb of ice on the scales, but would put in 80lbs at the line. Also the ice should have been on the truck as it drove over the hitch measuring spot. All of this isn't a huge deal, but an organization should do what they can to make the playing field even. I mean the little things add up. Probably that 100lb number should be dropped to 50lbs or so, as I am sure folks aren't wanting to buy 100lbs of ice everytime!
