I have a single wire alternator on both of my trucks, I think they were $50 or $80 at carquest. They came with v-belt pulleys so I just swapped it from my stock alternator, modded the brackets some and ran the wire. Just have to make sure the belt tracks straight!
But then how do you turn the alternator off so you can go faster?
A second disconnect would work.
It'd take a big honking relay, something good for 100-200 amps, right?
Ford starter relay would work for a disconnect in the cab
