1997 F250 7.3l whats it worth?

im trying to buy a 1997 f250 super cab xlt long bed auto 4x4 with 140k. its got the normal ford rust over the wheel wells starting a few dings has been garaged since the owner bought it with 15k on it. kbb says its worth 6500. what do you guys think its worth? i trust that the truck has been well taken care of because the owner is my neighbor.
 
I just bought a 97 F350 xlt single cab similar condition. with 260K miles. Kbb $5,800 in fair cond. I paid $5k for her. She has a few goodies too.
 
Just bought a 1996 paid 8500 for it extended cab 5spd 4X4 stock but body and interior where perfect minus one ding on front fend but that is already fixed. . .

Dont get a California 97 truck...

They come with:
-Fuel Pump diaphramn (extra work when pullin pump)
-AB Split-Shot injectors (bad for makin HP)
-Different Stock tuning
-CAT Conv.

---And you dont want ANY of those
 
i about to trade my 98 chevy gas 4x4 ext cab with 194k to a 96 f-250 xl supercab 4x4 auto with 150k and it also has the normal ford rust but it does have a nice set of wheels and tires. i am givin them 3600 boot , the truck is stock as they come besides the wheels it still has the muffler. They were asking 6995 without the trade.
