cps or something else

alright i just bought a 96 F250 not running the guy said it was running kinda rough and then parked it and it didnt start again, it cranks fine and when it cranks the tach dont read

I'd start by Putting a CPS in it, 20 bucks cant go wrong..

i will be doing that tomorrow morning whats next to check if that dont work?

so it starts up fine then starts running real rough no power check engine light comes on and like someone flipped a switch it smoothed out with no issues at all full power cel goes off so I look a little farther one of the valve cover plugs had been replaced and a new pigtail butt connected on so I took them off and soldered them thinking that was the issue and same thing will run real rough cel no power shut it off and start it again it's fine til all of the sudden i do nothing to trigger it it happens again, the fuel in the bowl is clean so is the oil and it's full of oil and help quickly is much appreciated also when it runs rough I unplugged the icp and nothing changes

Read the Codes First before throwing parts at it.

yea get AE and scan it . you can look up the codes and know what to do next . good luck
