Mechanical 8.3 Cummins

Mark Nixon

No Savior among the flesh
Recently picked this up, it has spun main/rod bearings, turns over extremely hard.
Has a p-7100 and an HX40W turbo and is still pretty complete with alternator, compressor, starter, etc.

Asking $1100 as is, or will part out.

An excavator, but I believe it was in a Ford before that, because you can see where the blue oval emblem used to be.

By the pump number (3922426), it was a 210 HP.

How "impossible" would it be to stuff one of these in a second gen? Neighbor lost his engine a week or so back, and I could see him trying it!

It would be tough...They're about 8" taller.

Mark, any chance you would palletize it and load it if I arranged shipping?

Thank you
Chris

They are also a bit longer and 700-800 pounds heavier.

Chris, I'm limited on how high I can lift it, if I can get it onto a pallet on it's side, then into the back of the truck, I'll ship it.
Damn thing is heavy. LOL

Mark.

Yes they are. If I come across someone headed that way and I can get it picked up, I'll give you a shout. I use those for parts fairly regularly.
