Rule of thumb, if it has a CM848 ECM, the trans controller is in the ECM and I have yet to see an 04 with anything else, early or late.

Mark for my own knowledge, have you ever pulled a 305/555 motor from a 04 with a build date prior to 01/04 ? Im not doubting you but I can remember a conversation in Muncie in 2004 between opie and bill about the new 325 600 motor got rid of the
pcm from the firewall. I cant find a good pic of a 04 online. maybe somebody on here has one... maybe they are as rare as the 98 12v with back doors that open lol
