AsTroSS : T-25 project

update:

Today we had a track day and i made 3 run:

1. 2wd no boost - 16.1 @ 87mph , 60 feet: 2.5
2. 2wd 10 psi boost - 16,8 @87mph ,60 feet: 2.8 f(no traction) :bang
3. 4wd no boost - 16.047 @87 mph , 60 feet : 2.3 no boost -no power

My previous best was 16.9@84 and here is added parts list (compared to previous setup):

370 hp injectors
HTT stage 3 upgrade (6-blade and 60mm wheel+housing)
5 inch lift kit
35 inch wheels

My truck weights : 7275 lbs

Currently : fastest diesel truck in my Country :1tooth:

Nice numbers, I can't wait to see what a built tranny that can take boosted 4wd launches will do to your times :evil

What do the local folks think about all the smoke?? Folks here in the US are kinda getting used to it, I would imagine over there it's still major "WOW" factor.

any more updates??
have you been back to the track at all?
i bet you could loose almost a 1/2 sec. if you did a small 4x4 boost launch, maybe just 5-8psi, i doubt you would hurt the tranny, but dont try to go too extreme, you'll snap than damn input shaft!!

Update:

I have replaced :
1. complete front axle from ´00 Ram 2500 with big brakes (I have to replace ABS hubs)
2. complete rear axle from ´00 Ram 2500 with drum brakes (in future disc brake conversion) ,
3. 241HD transfer case
4. driveshafts

Its funny, front axle is 1 inch wider than stock and rear axle is almost as wide as front (difference is only 1cm =0.39 inch) .
Stock 98 axle difference (front and rear) was almost 2 inch (front was wider 4 cm= 1.66 inch)

Next: hood with cowl and sport gill

What's the wait time after you order parts over there?
It kills me to wait 2-3 days sometimes. LOL

My last shippment are still in US, some parts was ordered 7 month ago ...

Last year average waiting time was approx 2 months , this year is different story, 4 times less conteiners than last year

Finally transfer case rear seal arrived and I had time to install rear driveshaft.

Can You feel any difference: 98 axles with 241dld versus 00 axles and 241DHD ? :evil

The brakes are totally different, my truck now stopps twice as fast as it did with stock 98 brakes.

Double piston front brakes and rear 3 inch wide drum breaks makes miracles.:rockwoot:

Now I have (installed) full list of Mag Hytec covers: front diff, double deep tranny pan and rear diff cover.

Next: maybe leather seat covers ( they have waited 2 years to install) and stereo ?
or suspension upgrade ?( I hate rear spring blocks at top of axle)

Update:

Last week I installed 1 ton Chevy rear brake cylinders, WOW they rock :rockwoot:

Also lots of parts have arrived with in last few weeks:

Edelbrock resi shocks (thanks Billisgoat)
Thuren bump stops (thanks rshort)
Kore VR 3'' coils (thanks BigDodge)
2008 control arms and trackbar (thanks Ilikebikes)
rust free doors (thanks Turbomatt1)
sport front bumper (thanks CTD735)
'98 12V core engine (thanks bnold)

supercharger .... :evil

So back to topic.

Last week I had time to install:
1. KORE 3inch variable rate front coils
2. Edallbrock resi shocks
3. 2008 Ram trackbar and I also made my own custom bracket .
4. Fender flares

The bracket is welded to frame, but I have also original 2gen trackbar bracket still there (if I want to go back to stock)

Next might be cowl hood, towing mirrors and Sport bumper, I need just time to do it .....

The handling with Kore springs, resi shocks and gen3 trackbar is very good, it now needs gen3 steering gear and linkage.
