S400 low boost P24v puller

Looking for some thoughts/advice. I’m new to mechanical injection so bare with me.

-Truck is a 2001 that is strictly a sled puller rarely street driven .
-Pump is a 12mm that was set to 500cc and was told with the plate full forward is 670 and 700 with the plate removed. It has no AFC and a 5GSK as well
-2.5 S400/87/1.10
-Truck has 4.88 gears, locker up front, spool out back
-47re with a FMVB and 3000rpm converter
-motor is 100% stock minus a 188/220 cam.
-35” STS and 8500lbs not hanging weight

I can’t seem to get more then 35psi of boost out of it. Most guys I’ve talked to running similar turbos are 50psi+ I’ve boost leak checked it up to 15-20psi till my tester blows off and no leaks.
Tried timing from 18* up to 34* and no change. This was using the timing pin and an adjustable gear.
Even with a .90 housing boost stays the same. Tried the fuel plate slid all the way and no changes.

I leave the line about 1000* EGT and 10psi boost in 2nd gear TC locked about 4400rpm. Hit 3rd about 75’ and it drops it down to 3000-3300 and that’s all it’ll get. Only gets to around 1600* EGT
Not really sure if I’m missing anything. I think it should be making more boost. Planning on getting better clamps and boost checking it higher but I don’t think I’ll see any leaks.
Not sure if there’s anything I should be changing anything or I’m missing something. Any advice is appreciated.

Didnt see what size injectors, and 500cc's on a 87 turbine. You arent driving it hard enough.
Go to a 83 turbine, or drive it harder.

6x.018 injectors, forgot to mention.

Drive it harder as in more fuel? I slid the plate all the way forward today so I’m going to see if that helped this Wednesday at our next pull.

Here’s my run after turning the fuel up.

Of course my CTS I use for gauges decided to freeze as I backed up to the sled so no exact number on boost but drive pressure was around 38-40psi. Truck stayed about 3400rpm going down the track

I’m going to put my .90 housing on for the next pull tomorrow night and see if it changes anything.

Truck made 33psi down the track last night with the .90 housing. Left the line harder this time. 3rd gear locked up and ended up at around 3900rpm at the end of the track. EGT only got to 1550*. With the VP it’d get to 1800*. I’m happy with the RPM I got out of it this time.

I would pull fuel out of it and try another boost gauge..

I’m using a CTS for a boost gauge and also using a 60lbs gauge for drive pressure. Drive pressure seems to be almost 1:1 with boost. Might try putting the drove pressure gauge on the intake anyway.

Would pulling back the fuel net me higher EGT? That should help spool the turbo I’d think?
