What the price of some other deckplate rods? I remember them being in the $4500 range?

That's a good price. D&J's are $3800 IIRC.

Lol, I talked to whoever handles their Facebook page and they pretty much blew me off. I think they'll do it for you if you custom order them.

Im sure they would, be a easy modification to make, don't need to take as much off the cap as ive seen some

Be better to talk to someone in the rod development department and explain the concern. Ill talk to their main guy monday and let him know that its something he should implement into the rod cap, and see if it goes anywhere.
