Pneumatic valve spring compressor.
I'm shopping for a pneumatic valve spring compressor, these 24 and 32 valve heads are a job with the spring pressure we are running and my manual compressor isn't cutting it any more.
Anyone have any experience with any brand or any info?

All I have used is the snap on one. Been happy with it. Takes a while to break in but just keeps working. My dad has the same one and uses his much more than I use mine. I think he has around 12yrs on his 1st one and bought a back up just in case.

I've looked at Summit and Jegs and didn't find anything, seems like the junk ones that I can find online are 300-400 dollars and the decent ones are 900-1200.
Seems a little high for what it is.

I'm going to contact Ora's Tools here in a few. I've been referred to them by quite a few alcohol guys that are running 420-500lb seat pressure and swear by his compressor. It isn't pneumatic but is supposed to be easy to use and safe which is what I'm after.

Wound up buying one from Ora's.
Would definitely reccomend one if you are looking for a powerful, safe, spring compressor. I talked to a couple engine builders that reccomended it to me, both build top alcohol and fuel engines with 420-500lb spring pressures and this was the only one they would trust. While it may be a bit overkill for what I need I like the assurance that it's not going to fly apart on me.

i like this guys style. thats what we use. not the cheapest but they are one of the best out there IMO. it'll compress our big springs for the roller sprint cars springs and has zero issues with the diesel springs. their lightweight

I have many dif ones for odd needs. Air is good until your springs get over 350 or the head is so tall and the valve lift is well over an inch. some of the nicest ones are useless at times. I do use a worm or screw type for the 400lb stuff and its a modified c clamp with plenty of room for raised runner racing heads of all types. I use a big drill press as a work table for some of these cummins with a tool welded up to fit dif springs. just chuck up your tool and push em down. its fast but u must push the head around.
