12 Valve-Mack EF conversion
Hello Guys,
I have been asking a few questions over the past few weeks. I appreciate all the help. I know the direction I am going now. I found a strong running 98 12 Valve that I am going to use. My question today is, I would like to do a couple "mods" but nothing crazy to the engine. I know that I will have to change/make a new air intake horn. What would be the best bang for the buck. I figured I would ask the experts, I do have the 215hp Ppump.
Thanks,
Brent

Hi Brett,
Governor springs. Timing.
This looks like a cool project. How heavy will the Mack be?

Snedge,
The truck is going to be light, cab and chassis with the front axle and rear out of an FL50. Do you work at Mumau (I recognized your dog)?
Thanks,
Brent

Are you going to try to squeeze a little charge air cooler in there somewhere?
Gov springs are a must, maybe add a little fuel and upgrade the turbo just a little.

Highwayman,
Yes planning on a CAC somehow. I have a good friend that builds racecar radiators and he keeps saying not to worry. What are your thoughts for springs and turbo?
Thanks,
Brent
