Haha!
That thing was a literal parachute and going across Idaho and Wyoming with the wind blowing like it was, was not friendly to me.

Cool, old, heavy trucks.

Could that 3408 keep up?

What are those open sided trailers for?

Getting close.
Everything is built and fitted. Now I get to pull it back apart to paint the frame, fenders, tanks, and polish the rear light bar.

C15 (6NZ) 475hp, 13 speed, 3.21 rear now, (was 3.73).
Lowered it 4.5” up front, 4” in the rear, and converted it from a 185” single axle to a 248” tandem axle.

Well it's all there, and 3.21 gears I guess you want to run over 90, ha.
Our truck had 3.41 gears? I think I remember with a 13spd. Id catch myself running over 90 at like 2am. Pulling around a 40k gross trailer, so light.

I put it on lopro 22.5’s, and the 3.21’s will work well around here. 60mph will be direct (11th), 70mph when I’m loaded on the interstate in 12th, 75+mph in 13th when I’m empty, or in a hurry.

Pretty pleased with the weight also. With just under 1/4 tank of fuel the other day it weighed 15,360 lbs. With the current amount of fuel and my 48’ spread axle Cornhusker hopper tare weight would be 24,940 lbs. Add 100 gallons of fuel and it’ll still be under 26,000 lbs.

There were 23 different variations to go out there. They all go together to make a prison.

I can tell that grass is dry, otherwise the next pic would have been of you pulling it back on pavement with that dead axle. More helpless than a 2WD diesel dually. Lol

Youre probably right. I seem to be a glutton for punishment, so I gotta try it.
