Yes and also not using a bunch of grease or dealing with worn cam bushings and seized on slacks. Weight savings also depends on drums. I run cast so I save there for sure.
A rotor is much lighter than a steel drum.

And ya rotors are a pain to change but easier than a s cam.

Yes... but can stop them all lol lots of our running is gravel and that don’t help.

I haven’t had to thaw one yet. Can usually get them broke free with a solid bar between rom holes and against drum.

I also have the supply gladhand ball valve. In winter I’ll close it before I release trailer air and it will hold brakes off.

Yea whenever any of ours run in the rain/snow they just block the wheels in the barn and leave the brakes off. Hoping they cool and freeze before the parking brakes set. Not an issue with disk

I have a lot more issues with trailers freezing to the ground than the brakes freezing. I make sure the dust covers are always in good shape and dont heat up my brakes before parking.

2900 rpm max semi puller hub dyno. Yes, they pull down in rpm so numbers propably a little bit higher than real power.

So what is that 800 euro HP since they ran the dyno EXACTLY like the truck would work during a pull? And why so much smoke, thought you had euro tuners that could make power without it?

Just cashed in my Daimler training points for a Garmin 45 dash cam. Interested to see how it works. I have in the back of my mind that having one somehow obligates you to have a wreck.

I have a Garmin 55. I wanted one that I could turn off the audio (why you would want it to record that I have no idea) and I wanted to turn off GPS and speed. Don’t kid yourself if you don’t think being 5mph over the limit won’t bite your azz in a court room even if your not at fault.

The 45 looks similar to the 55. Lower quality by a bit is all. How does the 55 do at night? Does the truck set it off thinking it’s an impact at all?

Truckers, lets see your rigs!

I'll see if I can pull something off of it from a night video. They record continuously and only flag the video when there is a shock which could be a bump. They overwrite the old stuff but you want you can remove the SD card and pull video or connect your phone over BT. I've had this one a few years and only pulled one video off of it.

Car turned in front of another car, got blasted and ended up on it's side. Since the camera is always recording I just waited until I got where I was going and connected my phone and found the clip I wanted. This is how I figured out the sound was still on. (Fire department was at that traffic light so I stopped and rang the bell)

We used one of those to catch a worker stealing from our non profit at a local festival. Quality is good enough for a convictions,

My dads dash cam assisted in an arrest related to an armed gas station robbery. Cops banged on his door at 3 AM asked if he saw anything. Checked the dash cam sure enough the guy ran right by his truck so they knew he wasn't driving and where he was headed. They found him a short while later.

Just put mine in the wife's ride. I'm pleased so far.
The only thing I don't like is that you can tell it's based off the cheap-o S8 variant Chinese action cam, all the way down to how the wifi pairing works. If I were younger I'd be trying to find hacked firmware to flash action cams with.
