2.5 class which trans to run
So i acquired an 03 dodge quad cab long bed and my plan is to go in the 2.5 class. From what I gathered on here is the nv4500 still the way to go over the 5600?

It would depend on what gearing your running. But yes for the most part an nv4500 in 4th gear (direct drive) and a billet input shaft with a good clutch will be just fine. I recommend valair clutches personally.. Dan is a great guy and very friendly to deal with.

The nv4500 in 4TH with proper gearing is pretty popular. A clutch and input from dan is the only way to go imo. Super nice guy. Plenty of dealers on here for him. not to mention he himself is a puller so he knows how to f some stuff up.

NV4500 here with billet input here. 4:10s or deeper on the gearing obviously for 4th gear.

Brother ran an auto with 4.10s last year. 35s, high stall converter. Ran ok, was mid pack truck.
Going to 4.88s and 5spd to get a better launch and carry more rpms down the track.
