Which ring and pinion manufacture?

There is so much re boxing going on between the manufacturers/distributors I am finding it difficult to decide which brand to go with.

I need to replace the ring and pinion in my 2009 Sterling/Visiton Super Duty Axle. The axle uses a 3.55 31 spline pinion.

I have read that Hobbs method of cutting gears yields almost perfect teeth uniformity compared to milling.

Of the manufacturers I have learned about and the average price:
AAM is one manufacturer who makes their products in the USA; and is supposed to be using Hobbs cutting. ~$350
Motive Gear are made in Italy and come with the pinion bearings. ~$300
US Gear does not make a gear set to fit my application.
Yukon does not make gear sets, only re boxes other manufacturer’s products including those from China.~$280
USA Standard are made in India and are the cheapest in price.~$180

Does anyone have more information or experience with the different manufactures?

Are you looking for stock size? If so, i would stick with Ford. They go together the best. Check out Sunrise Ford in Fontana, CA. They have the cheapest shipped prices in the USA.

I'm going to use the stock ratio of 3.55.
