I was worried about it being laggy but wasn’t sure how the 8.3 acted. 66 with the big turbine I was just unsure.

Right now with 62/68 no load rev it does 4-5# of boost at 1700rpm and 15-20# at 70 going down the freeway..
And constantly on the verge of barking the turbo...
Hope the new turbo moves everything to the right, the 5*.014 and 11mm pump put out more fuel than the 362 compressor can handle, and the truck can keep up/out run my LMM with same weight until EGTs go nuts. It dynod 400/800 At tires, figure 8.3 is at similar hp.
The 364 doesn't give much more air than the 362 hence why I went 66.. ~500fwhp should be dead center of it's map
5° Timing increase didn't slow the spool down or kill EGTs, it did kill off idle tq and made it hard start below 50°.
Good bit of people say I should run a 83 or even a 87 turbine s400 I'm nervous about that

New turbo is going in a .83 housing. Who stuffed that turbine in there?

65/68/74 turning are common off the self options and .83 T4 gated are available ($550-600) with adjustable gate for all of them, even comes in a .80 T3 foot
This one came from Industrial INJ, as they where the only ones that had it in stock at the time of order.
According to stainless diesel 80/74 turbine is the biggest you can get without risking longevity of service life I'm sure race application have more leeway

I went with a 69/74 and was told the .83 didn't have enough left after machining. Sounds like a fun set up

Google "13801009034" is the common .83 T4 gated 80/74 turning housing S300
Mine has 13801009032 writing in paint marker, also has a HX40 style exhaust flange too

My lord it was nasty down here about 645 yesterday. I was driving towards 75 on 275 and could barely see to end of hood. River of water doing down median, lightening everywhere. Bikes stuck under every overpass

3 jaw puller with backing cage, and heat.
Heat evenly from 400-450 and it should slide back on.
I haven't done it on a gear that's in-mesh. That could get ****ty quick

Take the rockers and pushrods off. Set the motor on the flywheel housing. Rotate the engine over 720 degrees. Pull cam out

You could do that.. or find a wooden dowel that fits in the tappets and pound em in and pull them up. Or remove tappet cover and hold them up or remove puah rods and just flip the whole thing upside down.

Since the Engine is already on the ground..
No tappet cover on a 6cta..
I don't have an Engine stand big enough to hold a ~1600lb Engine that's 40-42" long
I don't really have any means to relatively safely hang the engine upside down, working on a swinging Engine... Especially by myself..
Standing it on it's end comes across as most pleasing way to currently do it
