dana 70

I tore the gears out of my 02 dana 70. Are all the dana 70's the same as I see a dana 70u being listed. Mine of course has the disk brake rearend which is a little wider and I can't find a disk brake rearend anywhere. It broke the pinion off and we haven't tore it open to see if it ruined the housing yet. I have also looked at the later third gen rearends with 3.54 gears. Has anyone swapped a later rearend into the second gen trucks?

I know the D70 with drums that was in my '98 was the 70U. Not sure on the '02 D70.
