Tunnel ram
Have anyone test the tunnel ram intake plate? It seems to be very nice.

Havent put it on my truck yet but, I do have one. It is a very nice piece. Excellent welds and looks pretty damn nice too. I am waiting to put it on when I get the rest of the mods done.

there also another coming out soon worth looking into. It gains .75" of flow area over stock. Should help nicely to get some good air to those back cylinders.
They will be selling soon for a very low, competitive price. If anyone is interested, send me a PM as I'm not sure if they're ready to be contacted about them
edit: sorry I had to remove them as they aren't ready to be advertised. They are really cool though and definitely should be taken into consideration over the tunnel ram.

Your pictures didn't show up, what is this tunnel ram thing? A new intake plate?

yes, the tunnel ram is a intake plate as are the pics in the post I made. I was premature in posting them though. They aren't quite ready but, from what I can see will have much more benefit than the tunnel ram intake plate.
If anyone is interested, give this new plate I'm talking about a couple more weeks and they should be selling like hot cakes !

Ok, word is it's ok to post these now. They aren't quite ready but, should be in a couple weeks. I don't want to take away from your question about the tunnel ram but, this is a better alternative IMHO
This is a intake plate replacement Glacier Diesel is making called the Air Boss. The top has been raised to gain .75" more flow area through the plenum. Good news for those back cylinders.
The price is low and very competitive to anything else out there. When I hear the final pricing, I'll post it or Richard will likely post in his forum here.
I should have one on my truck shortly to post some pictures of it mounted. As I said, Richard isn't ready to sell these immediately but, if you're interested I'm sure he'd like to talk to you.

The pictures are somewhat confusing, is the grid heater delete included or separate?

Those are the first picture taken after they were made. I can't say for sure but, I'd say you could probably purchase the intake with or without the delete. It's not welded to the plate.

FYI....
The kits will have all new gaskets, shortened/plated injector line retainer brackets, and a shortened grid block. The shortened block allows the stock hardware to be used for the manifold and maintains IC piping geometry. This allows the Air-Boss to work with any aftermarket intake manifold and stock length bolts

seems like a good idea.
can you order one that will work with a twin ram? or is this gonna be a single intake opening only?

my friend installed an intake plate on his 24v, not sure the make of it but you could definitely see how much better it was once on. dont remember what he said as for power, EGTs, or boost though.

Well don't get offended because someone else is making something a little better.
I made no claims of anything. I only relayed info I was given. Dyno results are soon to come.
Plus like I said, I don't expect to see a huge difference in HP. There will surely be better flow though.
BTW.... 2nd gen are soon to come.

I imagine you could talk to Richard about that but, as for now... that's the design.

Man you are touchy. First, I made no claims. It's not about trashing your plate either. If you're referring to this statement....
" from what I can see it will have much more benefit than the tunnel ram intake plate "
it was my opinion which I believe I'm allowed to have. No, there aren't any dyno results.....yet. I only stated my opinion. That was based on looking them both. Yours is very nice too but, all you've done was change the sharp ends at the opening. The Air Boss increases the entire plenum volume... again, based on looking at it and from what I'm told.
What you should understand is, I only posted the pics to help Richard. I knew it was in the works and because this thread was asking about a intake plate, I though it was a good time to show another option that will be available. I didn't make it or design it but, I will use it.
