I'm running a 1-piece driveshaft. Got mine from Doghouse Diesel. It really made a ton of difference over the stock driveshaft. ALL the speed related vibrations are gone. Shutter is gone, Best mod I've done.

you shouldn't be breaking driveshafts at 750hp, but I just had a whole new driveshaft made and it was made out of steel, but the guy said it was stronger then stock and its a 4" tube now. it was only about 360 in change.

I am going to have a local driveshaft shop make a rear aluminum shaft.....with 5" diameter AL

Some info on shaft diameter:

5" would need 7400 rpm and 11,000 ft lbs to break

6" would need 8000 rpm and 14,000 ft lbs to break

Of course, this is just for the shaft

The ujoints and yokes might be the weaker factor.....

Call Bowersock, and ask him where he had his driveshaft made. It was local, and I am pretty sure it's the same place that built Brandon Miller's driveshaft for his s-10 drag truck.

Just stick to 1/4 mile stretches of pavement, and ditch the truxus

You know you shouldn't be breaking stuff when a VP truck takes you down at a dyno day

Blah blah blah...I have other things, aside from weight and HP, working against me.

Fibber or not, I was the one that left the dyno with a complimentary can of Tire Shine!
