I have never changed my shocks, and they have a whopping 20k Miles on them

I have nothing useful to add. Maybe check bilstein?

If you want a good shock for not much money, get yourself an internal floating piston (IFP). Fox has a pretty good bang for buck one.

If you want an all out performance shock, grab a QA1.

If you want something really cheap that's pretty decent, Bilstein 5100's.
